As the 2024 FENASSCO A National Finals draw near, Government High School (GHS) Mbonjo Limbe is proud to be one of the official accommodation centres for athletes participating in this prestigious inter-school sports competition. The school has been diligently preparing its facilities and logistics to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for the young athletes coming from various regions of Cameroon.
In recognition of the school’s vital role in the event, the Honourable Minister of Secondary Education, Professor Nalova Lyonga, paid a special visit to the campus to assess the level of preparedness and to encourage staff and students. The minister’s visit was marked by warmth, enthusiasm, and strong words of encouragement, as she inspected the dormitory spaces, hygiene facilities, classrooms, and general environment set aside for the athletes’ stay.

During the visit, the Minister commended the administration of GHS Mbonjo for their commitment to excellence and community spirit. She urged the school to continue upholding high standards of hospitality, discipline, and cleanliness during and beyond the games.
“It is not just about winning medals, but also about learning, building friendships, and creating a supportive environment where our young athletes can thrive,” the minister remarked.
As part of the preparations:
- Dormitories and classrooms have been cleaned and arranged to ensure comfort.
- Sanitary facilities have been refurbished to meet health and safety standards.
- School security has been reinforced to ensure a peaceful and organized environment.
- Staff and volunteers have been briefed and trained to assist with logistics and welfare.
