On Friday, September 6th, 2024, at exactly 10:00 AM, the staff of Government High School (GHS) Mbonjo Limbe convened in the school’s staff room for the official launching of the 2024/2025 academic year. The meeting marked not only the beginning of a new school year but also a moment of reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the school’s mission of excellence.
A key highlight of the event was the retirement of the school’s bursar, a respected and longstanding member of the GHS Mbonjo family. In his farewell remarks, the outgoing bursar expressed heartfelt gratitude for the love and support he enjoyed throughout his years of service at the school.
“I am always available to put in my service when needed,” he said warmly, emphasizing his continued willingness to support the school community in any way possible. He thanked the staff for the camaraderie and respect that made his time at GHS Mbonjo truly memorable.

The meeting was presided over by the Principal, Mr. David Moki Ndive, who used the opportunity to officially welcome all staff back for the new academic year. In his address, the Principal emphasized the importance of teaching with love, empathy, and a strong sense of parental responsibility towards the students.
“Let us teach in love for the students and act as their parents,” he urged. “Every student deserves care, guidance, and respect.”

Mr. Ndive also reminded staff of the national educational vision led by the Minister of Secondary Education, calling on all teachers to embrace digital learning fully. He encouraged teachers to integrate technology into their classrooms and use modern tools to improve teaching and learning outcomes.
“It is the Minister’s goal that we should fully engage in digital learning,” the Principal affirmed. “Let us not be left behind.”
The tone of the meeting was one of unity, motivation, and professionalism as staff members pledged their commitment to a successful school year. With the right spirit and digital vision, GHS Mbonjo is poised to make significant strides in 2024/2025.
The academic year may have just begun, but the fire of purpose has already been lit in the hearts of those entrusted with shaping the next generation.
