About Us
Government High School (GHS) Mbonjo Limbe is a government-run secondary school located in Bimbia, within the Limbe III Subdivision, Fako Division, South West Region of Cameroon. Established on November 3, 1975, the school began its operations in the derelict packing stores of the former Public Works Department (PWD) at Down Beach–Mbonjo, Limbe.
At its inception, GHS Mbonjo welcomed 103 pioneering students, including 65 boys and 38 girls, under the guidance of a visionary leadership committed to providing quality secondary education to the youth of the region.
Over the years, the school grew steadily, both in population and impact. However, due to the persistent flooding and deteriorating conditions at the Down Beach location, the decision was made—under the directive of the Honourable Minister of Secondary Education—to relocate the school to Bimbia, where it currently operates in a more secure and conducive learning environment.
